# Prevent Duplicate Person Accounts for High Scale Orders in a B2B Store

Starting in Summer ’24, the High Scale Orders feature requires a Person Account duplicate rule for guest users. This duplicate rule is required for B2B stores created with the LWR template. When a guest user places an order, the rule determines whether a Person Account record exists for the guest user. If a matching record exists, the system uses the record. Otherwise, the system creates a record for the guest user. If you don’t create a Person Account duplicate rule, the system creates a Person Account record for every order by every guest user, potentially resulting in a large number of duplicate records.

[Which Salesforce Commerce Product Do I Have?](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.comm_what_product.htm&language=en_US)

Before Summer ’24, B2B stores created with the LWR template used an implicit duplicate rule that checked the values of these four Person Account fields.

- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone
- Email

This implicit rule considered a record a duplicate if all four fields were an exact match with an existing record. Otherwise, the system created a record.

To replicate this behavior, create a Person Account duplicate rule that specifies, at a minimum, the same four fields with the same matching criteria.

1. Click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-comm-264-0-0-production-enus/d863e308-482a-4dfa-8d20-2a94737d394a/comm/images/comm_setup_icon_no_border.png) at the top of the page, and then select **Setup**.
2. In the Quick Find box, find and select **Duplicate Rules**.
3. Click **New Rule**, and then select **Person Account**.
4. Specify a rule name, desired actions, and optional conditions.
    1. For the Action on Create, deselect the **Alert** checkbox. Alert on create is unsupported because person accounts are created asynchronously after an order is placed.
5. For the Matching Rule, select **\--Create New Matching Rule--**.

The system displays a message prompting you to save your duplicate rule and redirecting you to create a matching rule.
6. Click **Save Duplicate Rule**.

The system displays a partially completed matching rule, which is associated with the duplicate rule that you saved.
7. Specify matching criteria for the First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone fields, with the Exact matching method specified for all four fields.

You can optionally specify additional fields and different matching methods for the additional fields.
8. Click **Save**.

The system displays details for the matching rule that you created.
9. Click **Activate**.
10. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Duplicate Rules, and then select **Duplicate Rules**.
11. Click the duplicate rule that you created.
12. Click **Activate**.
