Create an entitlement policy declaratively, through the Commerce app.

### Required Editions

The components used before the introduction of B2B templates don’t respect associated entitlements. Any customer can see the content in those components, regardless of their entitlements. Consider this behavior before adding components in your store. Also, only B2B Commerce can recognize the entitlement policies that you create.

Note Buyers and shoppers need record-level sharing access to see standard record detail components.

1. In the App Launcher, find and select **Entitlement Policies**.
2. On the Entitlement Policies page, click **New**.
3. Give your policy a name and add a description.
4. Select whether the buyer groups added to this policy can see products, and then select whether those buyer groups can also see product prices.

For a B2B store, if you want buyers and guest users to see only categories that have entitled products, contact Salesforce customer support to enable this functionality. This feature is available only for catalogs with fewer than 500,000 products.
5. For a buyer to view a category or its descendent categories, ensure that the buyer or guest user has an entitlement to at least one product within the category. If a buyer has a direct link to a category that isn’t entitled, the category appears but doesn’t show any products.
6. To enable the policy, click **Active**.
7. Click **Save**.
8. Click **Related**.
9. Assign products to the policy.
10. Assign buyer groups to the policy.
11. Rebuild your search index for your changes to take effect.
