With advanced cart management, B2B buyers create and manage multiple independent shopping carts simultaneously, keeping complex project requirements organized without mixing data. Buyers can specify any saved cart as the default and change the default later. From any saved cart, buyers can request quotes or check out directly without switching to the default cart. Buyers can also apply and remove coupons, configure multi-address shipping, add gift wrapping and messages, and sort and paginate their cart list. Any cart is shareable with other buyers in the same account, with View, Edit, or Checkout access assigned to each collaborator.
After you enable and configure advanced cart management, authenticated buyers add items from the Product page to a saved cart. Buyers can create up to 100 saved carts. The Cart Menu and the Add to saved cart dropdown list show the default cart and the four most recently modified carts. Buyers can name, rename, or delete saved carts to keep their procurement organized.
Considerations
- The cart name and description can have up to 250 unicode characters. In the cart name
and description, avoid using special characters, including
"'<>@!$#&%\\{[]}. If you don’t specify a cart name, a name is generated automatically by using the pattern,Untitled Cart - [Date] [Time]. - Saved carts support simple products, static bundles, product sets, subscriptions, and variants. However, any configurable items such as dynamic bundles or simple products with configurable attributes are currently not supported.
- Only authenticated buyers can save products in saved carts. This feature isn’t available for guest shoppers.
- Buyers can only view carts that correspond to the current active locale.
- A saved cart is locked to the currency of the first item added to the cart. To shop in a different currency, a buyer must create a cart.
- The mini cart currently can’t show the saved carts. The dropdown showing the list of carts is only available if the mini cart feature is turned off.
- Enable Advanced Carts for B2B Buyers
Configure your store to allow buyers to organize their purchases into independent project-based carts. After the advanced cart feature is enabled in your store, use Experience Builder to add advanced cart management components to your store. - Cart Sharing in B2B Commerce
With the advanced cart management feature, B2B Commerce buyers can share a cart with other people on their account and control what each person can do with the cart. Cart sharing helps teams collaborate on an order and route it for internal approval before anyone buys. - Cart Import and Export
Allow buyers to import products into a cart or export cart contents in B2B Commerce by uploading or downloading a CSV file. Buyers can use a CSV file to quickly add multiple line items to a cart without manual entry, or export a cart’s contents to a CSV file for offline review, editing, or record-keeping. Import and export uses the Cart Details component. Cart exports are subject to a daily limit of 1,000 data exports per account.
