# Assign a Page Layout for a Custom Store Header or Footer

B2B stores created with the LWR template include responsive header and footer components. Alternatively, a developer can build a custom header or footer. For each page where you want to use a custom header or footer, assign the commerce custom layout using Experience Builder.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;"><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.comm_editions.htm&amp;language=en_US" target="_blank">View supported editions</a>.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Complete these steps for each page where you want to use a custom header or footer.

1. In the navigation sidebar, select a store from the **Store** dropdown.
2. Select **Website Design**, and then click **Experience Builder.**
3. In Experience Builder, click the gear icon on the page that you want to change.
4. In the Layout section, select the checkbox next to **Override the default theme layout for this page**.
5. From the Theme Layout dropdown, select **Commerce Custom Layout**.

The page now has blank top and bottom sections where the developer can add the custom header and footer. For more information, see [Build Custom Components](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.b2b_b2c_comm_dev.meta/b2b_b2c_comm_dev/b2b_b2c_comm_custom_component.htm).
