Before you configure volume-based adjustments, make sure that you have an active contract with contract item prices. See [Offer Contract-Based Pricing to a B2B Buyer](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.comm_offer_contract_pricing_to_buyer.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create a contract to define negotiated prices for a specific buyer account. Contracts override standard price book prices, ensuring buyers see their negotiated prices across store pages.").

1. From the App Launcher, search and select **Contracts**.
2. Open the contract that you want to update.
3. In the **Contract Item Prices** related list, click ![Action button](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-comm-264-0-0-production-enus/d863e308-482a-4dfa-8d20-2a94737d394a/comm/images/1cb2c_edit_action_arrow.png) for a product and click **Edit**.
4. In the **Adjustment Method** field, select the type of adjustment you want to apply.
    - Range: Select this option to apply a single discount to all units based on the total quantity purchased. For example, if a customer buys 15 items, all 15 items receive the 10% discount for the 11–20 tier.
    - Slab: Select this option to apply cumulative discounts where different portions of the total quantity receive different rates. For example, the first 10 items receive a 5% discount, and items 11–20 receive a 10% discount.
5. Save your changes.
6. In the Related tab, add a contract item price adjustment tier.

    1. Select whether the discount is a percentage or a fixed amount.
    2. In **Lower Bound**, enter the minimum quantity for this tier. For the first tier, enter 1.
    3. **Upper Bound**: Enter the maximum quantity for this tier. For an open-ended tier, leave this blank.
    4. **Tier Value**: Enter the discount applicable to the tier. For percentage discounts, enter the percentage (for example, 10 for 10%). For fixed amount discounts, enter the discount amount per unit.

For example, to offer a 5% discount when buyers purchase 10 or more units, set **Lower Bound** to 10, leave **Upper Bound** blank, set **Tier Type** to Percent, and enter 5 in **Tier Value**.
7. Save your changes.
8. Repeat the previous steps to create more tiers for different quantity ranges.

Make sure that your tiers don't overlap and that they cover the quantity ranges you want to offer discounts for.
9. After creating all adjustment tiers, refresh the decision tables.
    1. In Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter `Lookup Tables`, and select **Lookup Tables**.
    2. Select **Contract Pricing Entries** and click **Refresh**. Similarly, refresh **Contract Pricing Adjustment Tiers** and **Contract Pricing Volume Tiers**.

When the buyer purchases products covered by the contract, the volume-based adjustments are applied on top of the contract price based on the quantity purchased. The final price reflects both the negotiated contract price and any applicable volume discounts.
