# Cart Import and Export

Allow buyers to import products into a cart or export cart contents in B2B Commerce by uploading or downloading a CSV file. Buyers can use a CSV file to quickly add multiple line items to a cart without manual entry, or export a cart’s contents to a CSV file for offline review, editing, or record-keeping. Import and export uses the Cart Details component. Cart exports are subject to a daily limit of 1,000 data exports per account.

To upload a CSV file for import into a new cart, buyers navigate to the Carts page and click **New Cart**, where an optional import using CSV option lets them upload a file to import. To import items into an existing cart instead, buyers go to the Carts page, click **View Options**, and then click **Import**. This opens a window, where the buyer uploads the file, maps the fields in the CSV file, and click **Start Import**. When buyers import cart items to an existing cart using a CSV file. If the cart Item ID maps to a product in the cart, then the quantity of that product in the cart is updated. If the Cart Item ID doesn’t map to a product in the cart, then the cart items are added to the cart. For imports, SKU and Quantity are mandatory fields, and products being imported and added to carts must be active on the storefront. Buyers can import up to 15 carts every 48 hours.

To export the items in a cart, buyers click **View Options** and then select **Export**. They must specify an Export Name for the file, select the fields to include in the CSV file, and then click **Confirm and Export**. As with import, SKU and Quantity are mandatory export fields, and buyers can choose up to 10 additional fields to include in the export.

To track exports, buyers navigate to the My Account page and click **Cart Exports** in the left navigation pane, where all exports are listed. From the page, buyers can download CSV files of exported carts, or click **Delete All Exports** to remove all cart exports at once. To remove a single export, buyers can click **Options** for a specific cart, and then **Delete Export**.

Cart exports are available for 48 hours. If you turn off Export Cart, buyers can still view recent exports but can't create new exports.
