You can also create a buyer account in your Customer workspace. See [Use the Customer Workspace to Add a Buyer for a B2B Store](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.comm_buyer_from_cust_wkspc.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "The simplest way to add a buyer is to create the buyer account from the Customer workspace.").

1. In the App Launcher, find and select **Accounts**.
2. Click **New**.
3. If you’re given an option of what kind of account to create, select **Business Account** and click **Next**.
4. Enter the account information, and click **Save**.

    Important

In the Account Currency dropdown, select the buyer account’s preferred currency. If you don’t choose an account currency, or if you select a currency that your store doesn’t support, the buyer sees prices in the store’s default currency. The currency that you select for the account applies to all buyers in the account and overrides the individual buyer’s currency setting.
5. From the Actions dropdown, select **Enable as Buyer**.

If you ever disable the account as a buyer, any associations the account has with buyer groups are deleted.
6. Add a contact to the account.

A contact for a buyer account can access stores that the account’s buyer group is associated with.

    1. Click **Related**, and next to Contacts, click **New**.
    2. Enter the information, and click **Save**.
    3. Select the new contact, and from the Actions dropdown, select **Enable Customer User**.
    4. Enter a username, email, and nickname for the user.
    5. Select the license, profile, and permission set for the user.

The permission set determines the level of access that the buyer has to the store. See [Permission Sets for Buyers, Buyer Managers, and Account Switchers for B2B Stores](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.commerce_buyer_and_buyer_mgr_perm_sets.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Manage access to your commerce store's features and data by using the preconfigured permission sets for buyers, buyer managers, and account switchers.").
    6. Click **Save**.
