# Assign a Tax Policy with the Manual Salesforce Tax Solution

When you set up the manual Salesforce tax solution, assign a tax policy to your B2B store.

### Required Editions

1. In the navigation sidebar, select a B2B store with custom checkout from the Store dropdown.
2. Select **Settings** | **Checkout**, and go to the Taxes tab.
    
    The next steps depend on whether the Cart Calculate API is enabled.
3. If the Cart Calculate API is enabled, perform these steps.
    1. Under Providers, for Manual Salesforce Tax Solution, click **Select Provider**, and save your changes.
        
        If you've already selected Salesforce Tax Solution provider, click **Change Provider** and change your selection to Manual Salesforce Tax Solution.
    2. For Tax Type, click ![Edit icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-comm-264-0-0-production-enus/d863e308-482a-4dfa-8d20-2a94737d394a/comm/images/comm_pencilicon.png), and select Gross.
    3. For Tax Policy ID, click ![Edit icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-comm-264-0-0-production-enus/d863e308-482a-4dfa-8d20-2a94737d394a/comm/images/comm_pencilicon.png), and select a tax policy for the store.
    4. Save your changes.
4. If the Cart Calculate API is disabled, perform these steps.
    1. Under Integration, click ![dropdown](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-comm-264-0-0-production-enus/d863e308-482a-4dfa-8d20-2a94737d394a/comm/images/comm_dropdown_icon.png), and then select **Link Integration**.
    2. Select **Standard Tax, Salesforce Service**, and click **Next**.
    3. Confirm your changes.
    4. To use a third-party service, click **Get App from AppExchange**. Download the tax calculation service, and follow the instructions on the AppExchange package.
        
        Check AppExchange listings carefully to make sure that the package supports B2B stores.
    5. Go to the Taxes tab again, and expand **Tax Policy**.
    6. Click ![Edit icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-comm-264-0-0-production-enus/d863e308-482a-4dfa-8d20-2a94737d394a/comm/images/comm_pencilicon.png), and select the tax policy for the store.
    7. Save your changes.

Configure tax rates and tax treatments and assign them to the store’s tax policy.
