  • Change of Identity Management for Commerce Cloud GitHub Repositories
We're simplifying how users access the Commerce Cloud GitHub repository. Access is now direct via Commerce Cloud Account Manager. Previously, access required users to register a GitHub account. This change only affects resources that require Commerce Cloud accounts. Any resources that are publicly available can still be accessed using any GitHub account.
  • Get Ready for Multi-Factor Authentication Enforcement in May
The requirement to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) when accessing Salesforce products went into effect on February 1, 2022. To help customers satisfy this requirement, MFA is soon to be a permanent part of the B2C Commerce login experience. Starting May 1, 2022 and continuing on a rolling basis through the end of May, Salesforce is enabling and enforcing MFA for all users who log in directly to B2C Commerce applications.
  • Protect Against Bots and Malicious Attacks
To help you protect your B2C Commerce environments from bots and malicious attacks, Commerce Cloud is restricting external sources from directly accessing the demandware.net hostname.
  • Commerce Cloud Order Management Retirement
Salesforce B2C Commerce retired the Commerce Cloud Order Management product on July 31, 2022. There are no further updates or access to the Commerce Cloud Order Management documentation including the Infocenter and Release Notes.
  • Get More Commerce Partner Apps on AppExchange
By March 2023, more than 250 Commerce Partner apps are migrated from the Commerce Cloud LINK Marketplace and made available on AppExchange - reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and driving Commerce Cloud customer success. Use Commerce Partner apps to deliver digital and composable experiences faster, easier, and with less cost. Streamline operations while increasing revenue, and create personalized customer moments with dynamic shopping experiences.
  • LINK Marketplace Retirement
The LINK Marketplace is now retired. To help you extend B2C Commerce, we’ve migrated all apps from the LINK (B2C Commerce) marketplace to AppExchange – made up of cartridges and headless integrations. The AppExchange is now the sole Salesforce marketplace for B2C Commerce Integrations. B2C Commerce independent software vendor (ISV) partner cartridge code has been removed from Salesforce GitHub repositories, and the LINK Program has officially concluded.
  • B2C Commerce Infocenter Retirement
The Salesforce B2C Commerce Infocenter is being retired on July 15, 2023. Between June 15 and July 15, B2C Commerce documentation will be available in both the Infocenter and its new locations to help ensure a smooth transition for users. This change applies to all versions of Salesforce B2C Commerce.
