# Optimize Sandbox Resources Dynamically

Enhance your development environment by dynamically adjusting sandbox resource profiles. To manage performance and costs effectively, switch between medium, large, and xlarge profiles as needed. Automatic restarts and status checks ensure seamless transitions.

**How:** How: To adjust your sandbox’s resource profile, use the patch API to update the `resourceProfile` to one of the available values listed at [Use the Sandbox API to Manage On-Demand Sandboxes](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/commerce/b2c-commerce/guide/b2c-manage-sb.html). Note that higher profiles incur higher credit costs. During the update process, the sandbox will restart. You can check the sandbox status using the GET API.
