# New Account Manager Password Requirements

For stronger passwords and better security, The password requirements for Account Manager are changing.

**When:** These upcoming changes aren't part of this release. We're announcing this change in advance so that you're aware of these changes.

**How:** New password requirements will be as follows:

- Must be at least 12 characters long. (The number of characters can be configured on the organization level and must always be equal to or greater than 12)
- Must not reuse any of the 4 previous passwords. (The number of previous passwords can be configured on organization level and must always be equal to or greater than 4)
- Minimum complexity must include three out of four - numbers, symbols, lower case, upper case
- Must not include part of your name or username or UUID

Existing and unexpired, passwords are not impacted with above new password requirements. This change will be enforced when a password is reset or changed.
