Storefront preview URLs from Business Manager are now reliable and reflect the live storefront experience. The preview URL is generated based on the vanity hostname defined as the SEO alias instead of using the generic hostname. This improved consistency also applies to previews generated from the list and detail pages for Product and Content in Business Manager.
Where: This change applies to B2C Commerce.
How: In Business Manager, click App Launcher, and select (1). If you add an HTTP/HTTPS hostname in Aliases, the preview shows that URL. If you don’t add an alias, the preview uses the first configured vanity host name. Business Manager generates these URLs based on standard URL rules, so they may differ for Composable development models.
To preview the storefront, select Storefront (2).
