# Create Custom Attribute Editors Faster with Prebuilt Attribute Editors

Use the prebuilt editors as building blocks when you create custom attribute editors. We provide prebuilt editors for Category Picker, Link Builder, Page Picker, and Product Picker UI controls. When the merchant configures the component attribute, the prebuilt editor opens in a separate breakout window window.

How: Designate an attribute as type custom in the JSON meta file for the component type. In the client-side JavaScript file for the custom attribute editor, set the payload ID for the `sfcc:breakout` event to the ID of the prebuilt editor, for example, `sfcc:categoryPicker`.
