Update Your Account Manager Login Experience

As part of the Account Manager infrastructure upgrade, Salesforce is updating the Uniform URL path and attribute values for the Account Manager login page. This change doesn’t affect the domain name. You can still use https://account.demandware.com/ to access Account Manager.

When: These changes will take effect with the August release of Account Manager.

Why: To make new security improvements, Account Manager is upgrading the underlying infrastructure for improved availability and flexibility. These updates are required for new infrastructure.

How: After the URL path is changed, saved links that include /dwsso/XUI/ in the path won't work. To update a saved browser link, replace https://account.demanware.com/dwsso/XUI/ with https://account.demanware.com/. If you use attribute values in the Account Manager login page for automation or custom tools, note these changes. Make sure that your implementations are updated to prevent disruptions.

  • User Name Field:
    • The attribute value for id is changing from idToken2 to username.
    • To avoid any impact from this change, use the placeholder attribute, as its value remains unchanged.
  • Password Field:
    • The attribute value for id is changing from idToken2 to password.
    • To avoid any impact from this change, use the placeholder attribute, as its value remains unchanged.
  • LOG IN Button:
    • The attribute value for id is changing.
    • To avoid any impact from this change, use the value attribute, as its value remains unchanged.
Note
Note Account Manager's internal automation also uses the "placeholder" attribute.
