# Specify Category Assignment Attributes

Specify the characteristics of each product-category assignment through the B2C Commerce Products or Catalogs modules.

Click App Launcher ![App Launcher](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-cc-b2c_merchandiser_administrator-264-0-0-production-enus/ea76f372-6cfa-42a6-8e7c-05c6df7abed8/cc/b2c_merchandiser_administrator/images/appLauncher.png), and then select **Administration** | **Site Development** | **System Object Types** | **CategoryAssignment**.

1. Click App Launcher ![App Launcher](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-cc-b2c_merchandiser_administrator-264-0-0-production-enus/ea76f372-6cfa-42a6-8e7c-05c6df7abed8/cc/b2c_merchandiser_administrator/images/appLauncher.png), and then select **Merchant Tools** | **site** | **Products and Catalogs** | **Products**.
2. Select a product.
3. Click the **Categories** tab and then the **Edit** link (for the selected category).
4. On the Product page Categories tab, lock the product, then click **Edit** to add or edit the general attributes of the category assignment.
5. Enter information about the category assignment and click **Apply**.
6. You can also enter or modify this information through the Catalog module.
    1.     2. Click a Catalog ID link.
    3. In the Products section, click a product's **Edit** button.
