# Search Refinement Definitions for B2C Commerce

Search refinement definitions let you configure the attributes used as refinement options in your storefront categories.

For example, to have color selections shown in your storefront search refinement list for Men's Shirts, you set the variation attributes color as a search refinement option in the Men's Shirts category.

The Search Refinement Definitions tab lists all search refinement definitions of the category, and all existing inherited search refinement definitions of parent categories. Manage the attributes of existing refinement definitions from the list.
