# Merchandising with the B2C Merchant Agent

After you set up the B2C Merchant Agent, use it to automate merchandising tasks. Instead of manually configuring ranking, sorting, and product categorization, use natural language prompts with the Merchant Agent to automate these tasks.

For users with the required licenses, use of the Merchant Agent is unmetered. See [Merchant Agent License Requirements](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=cc.b2c_merchant_agent_license_requirements.htm&language=en_US).

The Merchant Agent supports these Visual Merchandising tasks.

- Create boost and bury rules to determine product ranking.
- Categorize products.
- Create sorting rules.

The Merchant Agent supports these tasks on the Product List.

- Translate and refine product names, descriptions, and other data.
- Search for and filter products in a product list.
