# Geolocation Lookup for IP Addresses in B2C Commerce

View and validate geolocation lookup for IP addresses.

The geolocation associated with a storefront request is available through the API and can also be used in customer group membership rules.

Note The Shopper Commerce API (SCAPI) geolocation service doesn't support Anycast-related IP addresses. Anycast allows the same IP in multiple locations, and, therefore, can't resolve to one single location.

See Store Geolocation Data.

1. Click App Launcher ![App Launcher](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-cc-b2c_merchandiser_administrator-264-0-0-production-enus/ea76f372-6cfa-42a6-8e7c-05c6df7abed8/cc/b2c_merchandiser_administrator/images/appLauncher.png), and then select **Administration** | **Operations** | **IP Address Geolocation Data**.
2. Enter an IP address into the IP Address field and click **Find**, to search for the geolocation associated with it, for example, `127.0.0.1`.
3. View diagnostic information about the geolocation database, which indicates the freshness of the Geolocation data.

The following information, provided to the vendor, can help diagnose issues with improper IP address data:

    - Database build time
    - Database published time
    - Database type, for example, `GeoLite1-City`
