# Exclude a Product from a Categorization Rule Set

B2C Commerce categorization rules automatically assign products to categories based on specific attributes, operators, and values. However, you can exclude products from your categorization rules.

1. Click App Launcher ![App Launcher](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-cc-b2c_merchandiser_administrator-264-0-0-production-enus/ea76f372-6cfa-42a6-8e7c-05c6df7abed8/cc/b2c_merchandiser_administrator/images/appLauncher.png), and then select **Merchant Tools** | **Site** | **Products and Catalogs** | **Catalogs**.
2. Navigate to your category and click **Edit**.
3. Open the **Categorization Rules**tab.
4. Click **Preview**.
5. From the Rule Preview list, select the product you want to exempt from the rule.
6. Click **Exclude**.
7. (Optional) To restore the excluded products and maintain the category rule:
    1. Click **Edit**.
    2. Leave the rule setting as is.
    3. Click **Save**.
        
        The excluded products return to the rule set results.
8. To manually run the rule set, click **Run**.
    
    If the rule set is configured to run as a bulk job, review the results after the bulk job runs.
