# Ingesting B2C Commerce Engagement Events

As shoppers interact with B2C Commerce storefronts, they generate engagement events, such as adding an item to a cart or starting checkout. Ingest this real-time data into Data 360 for harmonization, insights, and personalization.

    The data kit makes it easy to define a data stream in Data 360 from B2C Commerce. It also makes it easy to configure a connector with the correct schema and mappings.

    A data stream and its Website connector bring B2C Commerce engagement events into Data Cloud. Using the commerce-b2c-datakit, create the data stream, add a Website connector, and deploy it so a site can send events.

    Enabling the engagement events feature tells a B2C Commerce site to send shopper interactions to Data Cloud. In Business Manager Site Preferences, supply your Data 360 tenant ID and AppSourceId, then select which event groups the storefront sends.
