# Assign Merchant Agent Roles and Permissions

In Business Manager, configure user roles and permissions that can access the B2C Merchant Agent features. The feature requires a single permission, **BM\_Agentforce\_Org**, which is assignable to any role.

Create a specific role, such as Merchant Agent User, and assign it only to users who rely on Agentforce capabilities. Limiting who has the user role follows the least-privilege security model, and makes auditing Agentforce access easier.

1. In Business Manager, go to **Administration** | **Organization** | **Roles & Permissions**.
2. Create a role or select an existing role to grant Merchant Agent access.
3. (Optional) Provide a descriptive name for the role, such as Merchant Agent User, and click **Apply**.
4. Select the **Functional Permissions** tab, and in the Select Context window, select **Organization**, then click **Apply**.
5. Find and select **BM\_Agentforce\_Org**.
6. Click **Update**.
7. Assign the new role to users.
    1. Go to **Administration** | **Organization** | **Users**.
    2. Select the user to grant access.
    3. Assign the role with the **BM\_Agentforce\_Org** permission.
    4. Save your changes.
