# Billing Considerations for Tableau Next

Tableau Next is built on Data 360 and generative AI services. Usage of certain Tableau Next features impacts credit consumption. Credit consumption can be either Data Services or Flex Credits. In addition, many Tableau Next features are available on an unmetered basis. Unmetered usage does not consume credits.

Tip Use Digital Wallet to check which consumption cards are active in your org, find out how many credits are available on each card, and determine how many credits have been consumed in each usage type.

## Unmetered vs. Metered Consumption in Tableau Next

When a user has an unmetered license, some Tableau Next features and services don’t consume credits.

- With an unmetered Creator or Consumer license, or with the Unmetered User Based Access Tableau Next, Data Queries, Data Transforms, and Analytics Actions of Agentforce initiated from Tableau Next are unmetered.
- With a Limited Consumer or Included App license, viewing and exploring analytics assets in Tableau Next Apps for Salesforce is unmetered.
- For more information, see [About Unmetered Tableau Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.tua_about_unmetered_usage.htm&language=en_US).

For metered consumption, three categories of usage are possible:

- Data 360 Usage
- Data 360 Storage Usage
- Agentforce and Generative AI Usage

Depending on your license and the features you use, usage types in one of those categories could be charged. See the following tables for details.

## Data 360 Usage

When you use Data 360 for data collection and processing, your org consumes credits from either the Data Services consumption card or the Flex Credits consumption card.

- If your contract included Data Service Credits, those are consumed for all Data 360 usage.
- If you run out of Data Service Credits, your org is billed at your Data Service Credit overage rate for the remainder of your term unless more credits are added.
- If you have Flex Credits for Data 360, those credits are consumed instead.

Data Services and Flex Credits organize data services within different usage type groupings. For more information, see [Data Services Billable Usage Types for Data 360](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_usage_types.htm&type=5&language=en_US) and [Flex Credits Usage Types for Data 360](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_flex_credits_for_data360.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

To check multipliers for each usage type, review the type’s rate card.

- [Multipliers for Data Services Rate Card](https://www.salesforce.com/data/rates/multipliers/)
- [Agentforce & Data 360 Flex Credits Rate Card](https://www.salesforce.com/agentforce/rates/)

The cost of each credit is determined by your contract.

## Data 360 Storage Usage

Storage costs are determined by your contract. Use Digital Wallet to check your current usage.

| Digital Wallet Card | Usage Type | Usage Type Description | Consumption Without Tableau Next Unmetered Permission | Consumption With Tableau Next Unmetered Permission | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Data Storage | Storage Beyond Allocation | Usage is calculated based on the amount of storage used above the amount allocated. | Metered | Metered | Tableau Next stores calculated insights and transformed object data in Data 360. |

## Agentforce and Generative AI Usage

When your org uses Agentforce or generative AI, it consumes Agentforce Flex Credits or Einstein Requests credits. If you have any active Einstein Requests credits, those credits are consumed first. If you run out of Einstein Requests credits or never had any, your org consumes Agentforce Flex Credits. For more information, see [Flex Credits Billable Usage Types](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.usage_flex_credits.htm&type=5&language=en_US) and [Einstein Requests Billable Usage Types](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.generative_ai_usage_einstein_requests.htm&language=en_US&type=5).

To check multipliers for each usage type, see the [Agentforce & Data 360 Flex Credits Rate Card](https://www.salesforce.com/agentforce/rates/).

The cost of each credit is determined by your contract.
