# About Following Metrics in Tableau Next

After you follow a metric, the metric appears on the Following page in Tableau Next. While analysts can find Following in the left panel, users with consumer permissions see the Following tab as their home page web experience in the Tableau Next app.

### Required Editions

When you follow two or more metrics, Tableau Next provides a summary to help you quickly see the latest insights across your metrics of interest. When available, this insights summary appears on the Tableau Next Following page. For more information on insight summaries, see [About Insight Summaries in Tableau Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.tua_metric_insight_summaries.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Tableau Next displays a summary of the insights related to those metrics. Tableau Next creates the insight summary differently, depending on whether Tableau Agent with conversational analytics is enabled or not. When the agent isn't enabled, insight summaries are created based on the metrics you follow (two or more required). When the agent is enabled, Tableau Next creates insight summaries using Agentforce (no followed metrics needed).").

Note Tableau AI must be turned on by your Tableau admin for insight summaries to be available.

If you unfollow a metric, then it no longer appears on your Tableau Next Following page on web or mobile.
