For more information on what’s supported for Excel files, see [File Upload Processing Modes and Limits](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.tua_data_upload_limits.htm&language=en_US).

1. On the workspace tab, select an existing workspace or create one.
2. Upload the data.
    - From a new workspace, click **Data**, select **From File Upload**, and then click **Upload File**.
    - From an existing workspace that already includes data, click **Add**, select **Data**, and then click **From File Upload**.
3. Select a file and click **Open**.
4. Inspect the fields and sample data to verify that the data is appearing correctly. See [Review Data Upload to Tableau Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.tua_data_review_data.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "After you upload an existing data asset or a file to a Tableau workspace, you can review the fields and data types, along with up to 100 rows of data in each field. After reviewing, you can use newly uploaded data immediately for models or visualizations.").
5. To add the data to Data 360, select one or more sheets and click **Create Data Lake Object**.

You can also use the data to create a semantic model or visualization.

- **[Prepare Excel Files for Ingestion by Using Data Interpreter](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.tua_data_add_data_interpreter.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Clean your Excel files to make sure that your data has the correct structure for ingestion. The Data Interpreter cleans and structures Excel data during upload. It resolves formatting issues, such as merged headers or blank fields, and ignores non-essential images and hidden formatting.
