# Upload Data to a Tableau Next Workspace Using a CSV File

Add your own data to a new or existing workspace using a CSV file. The data is parsed, verified, and added to a new data object. You can then use it in a semantic model, visualization, or dashboard.

1. On the workspace tab, select an existing workspace or create a new one.
2. Upload the data.
    - From a new workspace, click **Data**, select **From File Upload**, and then click **Upload File**.
    - From an existing workspace that already includes data, click **Add**, select **Data**, and then click **From File Upload**.
3. After the file is uploaded, inspect the fields and sample data to verify that the data is appearing correctly. See [Review Data Upload to Tableau Next](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.tua_data_review_data.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "After you upload an existing data asset or a file to a Tableau workspace, you can review the fields and data types, along with up to 100 rows of data in each field. After reviewing, you can use newly uploaded data immediately for models or visualizations.").
4. To add the data to Data 360, click **Save**.

You can also use the data to create a semantic model or visualization.
