# Grant Salesforce Support System Admin Access to Exploratory Orgs

Grant Salesforce Support temporary system administrator access to a Exploratory Org so that support staff can investigate and resolve issues. Control which Exploratory Orgs a support user can access and set an expiration date for that access.

Exploratory Orgs are isolated workspaces that belong to individual users. By default, no one—including Salesforce employees—can log in to a Exploratory Org as the system admin user. Enabling this feature gives Salesforce Support admin-level access to investigate issues that aren't visible from the user's own login. Customers and Exploratory Org owners can't log in as the system admin user; that restriction remains in place. Salesforce Support must sign in through your production org before accessing a Exploratory Org.

1. In Tableau Next, click **Administration**, and then click **Settings**.
2. Under General Settings, click **Tableau Next Features** and select the Exploratory Org section.
3. Turn on **Salesforce System Admin Support**.

This org-level setting controls the feature for your entire org. When it's turned off, Salesforce Support can't log in to any Exploratory Org as the system admin user, regardless of other settings.
4. From Administration, go to Settings and select **Users**.
5. Select a user, then configure that user's available Exploratory Org and the expiration date for Salesforce Support access.

When the expiration date passes, Salesforce Support access to the user's Exploratory Orgs ends automatically. To extend access, update the expiration date in the user's settings.
6. In your production org, go to Settings and select **Grant Account Login Access**.
7. Verify that Salesforce.com Support has access for the required period.

Example

A user reports that data in their Exploratory Org appears incorrect and can't be corrected from the user's own view. After you complete these steps, Salesforce Support logs in to the Exploratory Org as the system admin user, inspects the issue at the admin level, and makes corrections directly.

Salesforce Support doesn't receive a notification when you grant access and won’t see the Exploratory Org option until all conditions are active. The login succeeds once the org-level setting is turned on, per-user access is configured, and production org access is granted. Support can access the Exploratory Org by opening production and accessing the Exploratory Org through it.
