For a streamlined setup, use the [Salesforce Go feature for Tableau Next with Slack](https://login.salesforce.com/lightning/setup/page/featureset/tableau_slack_integration/home?topic=SalesforceGo). Or follow these steps.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Session Settings, and then select **Session Settings**.
2. Confirm that the settings for both **Lock sessions to the IP address from which they originated** and **Enforce login IP ranges on every request** aren't enabled.
3. [Connect Slack to Salesforce](https://slack.com/help/articles/30754346665747-Connect-Salesforce-and-Slack#connect-slack-to-salesforce)
4. In Tableau Next, click **Administration**, and then click **Settings**.
5. Under General Settings, click **Tableau Next Features**.
6. Turn on **Collaborate with Slack and Tableau Next**.

Note Session Settings that restrict IPs impact the integration between Slack and Salesforce. To resolve this, Session Settings for **Lock sessions to the IP address from which they originated** and **Enforce login IP ranges on every request** must not be enabled.
