# Search for Reports and Dashboards in Lightning Experience

When using the report and dashboard search in Lightning Experience, look for a report by name. To refine your results, sort or search within a selected folder.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Essentials</strong>, <strong>Professional</strong>, <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Performance</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Enhanced Folder Sharing</td></tr></tbody></table>

Search doesn't find partial strings within a longer word or number except at the start of the word or number. A word or number starts at the beginning of the field label or following a space. For example:

- Searching on “commun” finds “Edge Communications” but searching on “dge” or “cation” doesn't.
- Searching on “12” finds “Leads Report 12” but not “Leads Report-12”.
