# Distribute Reports and Dashboards on Semantic Data Models with First-Generation Managed Packages

You can deploy semantic model reports and dashboards from a source org to a target org when the semantic model is located in the same dataspace in both orgs.

### Required Editions

1. From Setup in your Developer Edition org, select **Package Manager** and click **New** to [create a managed package](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.pkg1_dev.meta/pkg1_dev/uploading_packages.htm).
2. Click **Add** in the Components tab, then from the Component Type dropdown list, select and add Reports and Dashboards to the package.
3. To ensure all dependent assets and appropriate [permission sets and profile settings](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.pkg1_dev.meta/pkg1_dev/distribution_perm_sets_profile_settings.htm) are added, click **View Dependencies**.
4. After your reports and dashboards are packaged, [prepare them for distribution](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.pkg1_dev.meta/pkg1_dev/uploading_packages.htm).

To install the reports and dashboards in the target org, copy the URL of the managed package and log into the target org. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the managed package.
