Note AI Sentiment Function in Data 360 Reports is a pilot or beta service that is subject to the Beta Services Terms at [Agreements - Salesforce.com](https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/) or a written Unified Pilot Agreement if executed by Customer, and applicable terms in the [Product Terms Directory](https://ptd.salesforce.com/). Use of this pilot or beta service is at the Customer’s sole discretion.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Reports and select **Reports and Dashboards Settings**.
2. Select **Enable AI Sentiment Function in Data Cloud reports (Beta)**.
3. Create or open a Data 360 report.
4. From the Columns section of the Outline pane, click the dropdown, and select **Add Row-Level Formula**.

    You can also add an AI sentiment function to a summary formula.
5. Enter a column name and description for the row-level formula.
6. Set the formula output type to **Text**.
7. From the Fields tab, select the **AI\_SENTIMENT** function and then add it to the formula editor.

    The AI\_SENTIMENT function performs sentiment analysis on text input, and returns a sentiment label. For more details, see [AI\_SENTIMENT](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-query-guide/references/dc-sql-reference/ai-sentiment.html)
8. Enter this formula, replacing text\_field with the name of the text field you want to analyze.

    ```
    AI_SENTIMENT(text_field)
    ```

    `text_field` is a text field or expression containing the unstructured text to analyze.
9. To check the formula for errors, click **Validate**.
10. Save and run the report.

    The sentiment column displays Positive, Negative, Neutral, Mixed, or Unknown for each row.

Example

To triage support tickets by sentiment, add this formula as a calculated column on a report that includes a text field with ticket descriptions:

```
AI_SENTIMENT(Support_Ticket_Text__c)
```

The report shows a sentiment value for each ticket so you can filter or group records by sentiment.
