# Change Dashboard Owner

Transfer dashboard ownership if responsibilities change or the current dashboard owner leaves your organization. The new owner has full control over the dashboard contents. You can change ownership of one or more dashboards at a time. You must have edit access to the folder that contains the dashboard. The new owner is granted edit access to the dashboard folder.

### Required Editions

              Role Hierarchy:</td>

              <p dir="ltr">Create Customize Dashboards</p>
              <p dir="ltr">AND</p>
              <p dir="ltr">Manage Dashboards </p>
              <p dir="ltr">For dynamic dashboards, add:</p>
              <p dir="ltr">Manage Dynamic Dashboards</p>
              <p dir="ltr">AND</p>
              <p style="margin-bottom:0;" dir="ltr">View My Team's Dashboards (for Dynamic Dashboards with Run As Selected User
                specified)</p>

Change Ownership of a Single Dashboard

1. On the Analytics tab or the Dashboards tab, find the dashboard.
2. Select **![the more actions icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-analytics-analytics-264-0-0-production-enus/295fead5-b71d-4e1c-9886-4af4d53400b6/resources-global/_corporate/images/dropdown.png)** | **Change Owner**.
3. Select the new owner.
4. To send an email notification to the new owner, select **Send Email Notification**.
5. Click **Submit**.

Change Ownership of Multiple Dashboards

1. On the Analytics tab, click **Browse** and then **Dashboards**.
2. Select the dashboards.
3. In the Bulk Actions menu, select **Change Owner**.
4. Select the new owner.
5. To send an email notification to the new owner, select **Send Email Notification**.
6. Click **Submit**.
