# Customize CRM Analytics Dashboards using JSON

Configure advanced features in CRM Analytics dashboards using JSON.

The easiest way to build dashboards in CRM Analytics is to use the designer. However, if needed, you can further customize dashboards by editing their JSON files. The JSON defines the components of the dashboard and how they interact.

Modify a dashboard’s JSON file to perform advanced customization tasks that can’t be accomplished in the designer’s user interface. For example:

- Manually set up bindings to override the default faceting behavior and specify the relationships between the steps that aren’t bound by default.
- Set query limits.
- Specify columns for a values table.
