# Create Another Salesforce Local Data Connection

Create connections using the Salesforce Local connector to strategically manage when your Salesforce data syncs to CRM Analytics using individually scheduled local connections. A local connection, SFDC\_LOCAL, is included when CRM Analytics is activated.

1. From Data Manager, click the **Connections** tab.
2. Click **New Connection**.
3. Click **Salesforce Connector** and **Next**.
4. Enter the connection settings.

    | Setting | Description |
    | --- | --- |
    | Connection Name | Identifies the connections. Use a convention that lets you easily distinguish between different connections. _SFDC\_LOCAL\__ is automatically added to the beginning of the connection name after save. For example, if you assigned the connection name Hourly\_Sales, you see the connection SFDC\_LOCAL\_Hourly\_Sales added to your list. The SFDC\_LOCAL\_ can be edited or removed after the first save. |
    | Developer Name | API name for the connection. This name can’t include spaces. The API name is used in your recipes to reference data extracted through this connection. You can’t change the developer name after you create the connection. |
    | Description | Description for the connection, used to remind you why you added the connection or what it’s used for. |
5. After you finish entering the settings, save your changes.

With the local connection created you can add new objects to sync, move existing objects from another local connection, or filter which data is synced. When you use data from multiple local connections in a recipe, event-based scheduling will run only after all local connections are synced. For example, if one local connection is scheduled to sync hourly and another syncs daily, an event-based scheduled recipe using data from both runs one time daily.
