## Assign a Permission Set

1. Identify who creates skills and who governs all skills in the org.
2. Assign the AI Skill User permission set to people who create, share, and run skills.
3. Assign the AI Skill Manager permission set to people who govern all skills in the org.
4. Confirm that those users see Skills in Agentforce Studio, the App Launcher, or Agentforce Coworker.
5. Confirm that users can run a published, shared skill.

Assigning AI Skill User lets the user run skills they can access. For the slash command, the skill is published, in My Skills, and in scope.

## Who Can Access a Skill

Skills use the Salesforce sharing model. By default, only the skill owner can use and edit a skill. Other users get access in these ways.

- Sharing: The skill owner or a Salesforce admin shares the skill with specific users, roles, or groups.
- Role hierarchy: When **Grant Access Using Role Hierarchies** is turned on, users in roles above the skill owner can view the skill.
- AI Skill Manager permission set: Users with this permission set can manage all skills in the org.

Skills are private by default until shared. Share grants access to the skill. Recipients see the skill in **Browse** and can add it to **My Skills**.

## Turn On Grant Access Using Role Hierarchies

1. From Setup, select **Einstein**, and then select **Einstein Setup**.
2. Scroll to Skill Settings.
3. Turn on **Grant Access Using Role Hierarchies**.

Users in roles above the skill owner can view skills that the owner can access.
