The user intent and filter criteria extracted by the first action provide the Get Recommendations action with the precise input needed to generate optimal product or content recommendations.

## Personalization | Understand User Intent and Prompt Templates

This action uses a prompt template of type Intent Retrieval to extract a user’s intent and filter criteria from conversational input.

## Guidelines and Considerations

- This action is designed to work in tandem with the Get Recommendations action. Its primary function is to extract the user's intent, which is then used by Get Recommendations to deliver more tailored results. Both actions are included together in the Get Personalized Recommendations standard subagent.
