# Agent Actions

Actions are how agents get things done. Agents include a library of actions, which are the tools an agent can use to do its job. For example, if a user asks an agent for help with writing an email, the agent first selects a subagent, then it launches an action that drafts and revises the email and grounds it in relevant Salesforce data.

- **[Common User Access for Standard Agent Actions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.agent_actions_common_perms.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Learn about the permissions required for users to run many standard agent actions.
- **[Add an Action to a Subagent from the Asset Library](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.agent_actions_add_asset_library.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Add standard actions to your agent to start handling common business use cases quickly, or create custom actions tailored to your business needs. When you add these actions to an agent, the agent gets its own, independent copy. Changes to template actions within the asset library aren't automatically synced to subagents and actions within your agent. Changes made to one agent's actions don't affect another agent's subagents or actions.
- **[Verify Customers with Standard Subagents in Agentforce Builder](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.service_agent_customer_verification.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
To verify the identity of an unverified user in an agent session, configure your agent to use the Customer Verification subagent or the Service Customer Verification subagent and limit access to subagents and actions that you specify. You can require different levels of verification for different subagents and actions, based on your business’s security requirements.
- **[Edit the Loading Text for an Agent Action](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.agent_actions_loading_text.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Loading text tells the user what an agent is doing while an action runs in the background. For editable actions, both standard and custom, you can specify the loading text and tailor it for each action individually.
- **[Enhance Agent Action UI with Custom Lightning Types](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.copilot_actions_enhance.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Customize the user interface (UI) for an agent action’s input and output by using custom Lightning types.
- **[Agent Actions in the Legacy Builder](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.copilot_actions_legacy.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Create and manage actions in the legacy Agentforce Builder.
- **[Editing Standard Agent Action Reference Actions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.copilot_actions_edit_reference.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**

- **[Explore Standard Agent Actions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.agent_actions_ref_pointer.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
