# Publish the AI Agent Version

Publishing a version applies the new agent configuration to new contacts. Use that same version on the security profile and in the contact flow. A new voice contact that reaches the flow then opens one WebSocket to Agentforce for the session.

1. To publish the AI agent version, run this command.

    ```
    aws qconnect create-ai-agent-version \
      --assistant-id <ASSISTANT_ID> \
      --ai-agent-id <AI_AGENT_ID> \
      --region <REGION>
    ```
2. Associate the security profile with the versioned agent ARN.

    ```
    aws connect associate-security-profiles \
      --instance-id <CONNECT_INSTANCE_ID> \
      --entity-arn <AI_AGENT_ARN> \
      --entity-type AI_AGENT \
      --security-profiles Id=<SECURITY_PROFILE_ID> \
      --region <REGION>
    ```
