# Agentforce IT Service | Update Configuration Item

Updates the attributes of a specific configuration item (CI) in the CMDB based on a CI ID or CI name. The action accepts a JSON map of field names and values to apply the requested changes. Use this action when users request to update, modify, or change attributes of a CI.

### Required Editions
