Delete the agent action that references an MCP tool to remove your agent’s access.

To make changes to your agent, it must be in a draft state. If you want to make changes to a committed agent, create a new draft of your agent.

These steps cover how to remove an action from your agent in Canvas view, but there are a few ways to remove an action in Agentforce Builder.
- Ask Agent Optimizer to remove an action for you.
- Remove the action in Script view.
- From the Agents list in the Agentforce Studio app, open the agent you want to remove an action from.
- In the Explorer panel, expand the subagent you want to remove the action from.

Hover over the name of the action you want to remove and click
. Then click Delete.
- Open the subagent you removed the action from and delete all references to the action.
- Save your changes.
The agent action that references the MCP tool is still available to add to agents in the asset library.
