1. In API Catalog, add the Salesforce-hosted MCP server (standard or custom), add the tools you want, and activate it. See [Create Custom Salesforce MCP Servers in API Catalog](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.api_catalog_create_custom_salesforce_mcp_servers.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Agentforce, and then select **Agentforce Registry**.
3. In Agentforce Registry, select **New** and add the Salesforce-hosted MCP server.
4. [Allowlist](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.agent_mcp_registration_manage_allowlist.htm&type=5&language=en_US) the tools you want Agentforce to use. Select from the tools that you added in API Catalog.
5. Finally, in Agentforce Builder, [add those actions to a subagent from the assets list](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ai.agent_mcp_tool_action_add.htm&type=5&language=en_US), the same way you add any other Salesforce action.
