Note

- Create and activate Salesforce-hosted MCP servers in API Catalog, then add them in Agentforce Registry so that agents can access the tools you allowlist.
- Other MCP servers and APIs connected to Salesforce in API Catalog can be viewed in API Catalog or the Agentforce Registry. However, they can be managed only in API Catalog.
- MCP Servers connected to Salesforce through the Agentforce Registry can be viewed in the Agentforce Registry or API Catalog. However, they can be managed only in the Agentforce Registry.

When you connect an MCP server to Salesforce through Agentforce Registry or API Catalog, you allowlist the individual server tools you want to use with Agentforce. Tools are added to the Agentforce asset library as agent actions, then they're available to add to an agent, just like any other agent action.
